Marin Motor Social

A morning worth driving for

The Marin Motor Social is a monthly community gathering at Strawberry Village, Mill Valley. Every second Saturday, drivers and riders from across the Bay Area show up with their vehicles — and leave with something harder to find than a car.

No entry fee. No pretentious energy. Leave the ego in the garage — this is a gathering, not a competition. Everyone is welcome, every machine is welcome, and the only requirement is showing up.

Built entirely through word of mouth. Powered entirely by the people who keep coming back.

Open to all vehicles
Exotics, classics, motorcycles, daily drivers. The point is the people, not the machine. Every vehicle and every person has a place here.
Free entry — always
No tickets. No registration. Just show up. When you arrive, you'll get a color-coded Block Pass that tells you where to park and unlocks your zone for the morning.
Set duration, real intention
The event has a start and an end. That's by design. Compressed time creates energy. When the magic packs up, what's left is up to the people.
A growing rhythm
Every 2nd Saturday — and soon, more locations. More rhythm means more moments for connection. More moments for connection are the building blocks of something real.

The gathering is two hours. Be on time — the energy is at its peak in that window. You're welcome to stay as long as you like after, but the magic has its own schedule.

How it works

Simple by design. The less structure, the more real it gets.

Show up
No RSVP. Arrive anytime from 8am. Grab your Block Pass at the entrance, park in your zone, and walk into the morning.
Meet people
Catalysts are on the ground making introductions. Your Block Pass is a conversation starter. Strangers become familiar faces faster than you'd expect.
Be present
The gathering runs until 10am. The magic doesn't last forever — that's the point. Be here while it's here. The energy is real because it's finite.
Come back
The first time you're a stranger. The second time you're a familiar face. The third time you're community. That's the whole design.

Community

The event ends. The community doesn't.

Between gatherings, the community lives on Circle — a private space for members to connect, share ride plans, ask questions, and stay in the loop on what's coming next.

This is where Motor Social regulars become actual friends. Where the monthly rhythm extends into the rest of the week.

I've spent my career building things — companies, garages, communities. What I've learned is that the most valuable thing you can build isn't a product. It's the conditions for people to genuinely connect.

The Motor Social started from a simple observation: there were hundreds of people in Marin with a passion for cars and motorcycles and nowhere to share it with each other. Not a club, not a competition — just a Saturday morning where showing up was enough.

I stand at the entrance at every event and meet every car that comes in. That's intentional. The ingredients I add are the cars, the coffee, the cones, the music. But what makes it real was already in the people. It always is.
